Using the Addon
All of the options for the addon can be found in the N-panel of the 3D viewport under the AutoSmear tab.

General Guidelines¶
All of Auto Smear's options support having one or multiple objects selected.
When multiple objects are selected, using the Add Smear buttons will create an unlinked collection. This helps prevent additional clutter in your existing scene.
All buttons also function when either the smear object or any object related to it is selected. For example, if you have created a smear of a character, you can select either the character’s objects, or the smear object itself, and the panel options will remain available.
Add Smear Options¶
At first, the only options will be "Add Basic Smear" and "Add Full Smear" (or just "Add Basic Smear" for the free version).
Both of these will add a new object with it's own collection with names based on one of the objects you had selected.
The options on the geometry nodes groups for what objects to use will be auto-populated by the addon, so as soon as you add a smear you should have already functioning smears and duplicates.

Cleanup Options¶
These options are what you should use if you want to delete a smear. They will not only delete the smear objects, but also the collections that the addon created.
- The Delete Selected button will delete all smears related to the selected object
- The Delete All button will delete every smear in the scene
Bake Options¶
The bake options are specialized versions of the default bake options used by simulation nodes. As stated in the general guidelines, these options work with multiple selected objects or any object related to a smear.
For more details about basic bake options, see the Blender Manual on Simulation Nodes.
